Meet the Doctors

Dr. Chad Nicholson, O.D.Chad Nicholson, O.D., graduated from the University of Alberta in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  He then attended the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, where he received his Doctorate of Optometry degree, with honors, in the spring of 2000.   During his education, Dr. Nicholson completed an ocular surgery post-operative care internship in Atlanta, Georgia, and primary eye care, contact lens, and ocular disease management internships in Eugene, Oregon and Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Kristen Nicholson, O.D.Kristen Nicholson, O.D., graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology & Zoology.  She then attended the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree, with honors, in the spring of 2000. During her education, Dr. Nicholson completed an ocular surgery post-operative care internship in Atlanta, Georgia, and primary eye care, contact lens, and ocular disease management internships in Eugene, Oregon and Portland, Oregon.

Shortly after completing optometry school together in the spring of 2000, Dr. Chad and Dr. Kristen Nicholson moved to Colorado.  Here, Dr. Chad Nicholson began practicing with Dr. James Simonson within the Doctors of Optometry Next to LensCrafters at the Park Meadows Mall in Littleton, Colorado, while Dr. Kristen Nicholson began practicing at a private practice in Parker, Colorado, before joining her husband and Dr. Simonson in 2002.   In 2006, the Nicholsons opened their own practice within the LensCrafters at the Southlands Outdoor Mall in Aurora, Colorado and practice primary care optometry with an emphasis on treating dry eye, pink eye, and other eye diseases. Southlands Vision specializes in contact lens fittings with an emphasis on specialty lenses for ocular diseases such as keratoconus.
